Drawing inspiration from Australia’s beloved steel city, Peregrin pays homage to Newcastle’s industrious past with an elevated seaside dining experience as special as our iconic view. Our menu is inspired by modern Australian flavours and cooking methods embraced by generations, yet unashamedly borne from our multiculturally rich heritage. At Peregrin you are invited on a a journey of our abundant Hunter region, diving deep with menus that showcase the best of local food, drinks, and ingredients, all sourced from nearby farmers, fishermen, producers, craft breweries, winemakers, and artisans. Always different, always inspired and infused with the feeling of Merewether.

Our unique open fire and natural element cooking, using sustainably sourced ironbark and charcoal from NSW’s spectacular Blue Mountains takes centre stage in all we do, from the theatre of our open kitchen, to the lovingly crafted dishes laid before you.

Colourful and vibrant, Peregrin’s ethos is one of refreshing simplicity, manifesting in everything from the flavours to the service. Classic, instinctive and nourishing is our philosophy.
